Salesforce Marketing Cloud audit
Your Marketing Cloud org has problems nobody wrote down.
I audit Salesforce Marketing Cloud setups: data, integrations, automation, deliverability, content, governance, measurement. You get a written report, prioritized, with what it costs you and the order to fix it in. Fixed price, fixed scope. Basic in 3 to 5 business days, Advanced in 2 to 3 weeks.
The same problems come up over and over.
- Journeys built in 2021 that still run. Nobody has checked the entry criteria since.
- Data extensions named
DE_import_3_final_v2. The person who built them left two years ago. - A sync fails silently. Someone notices three days later, when the campaign is already late.
- Bounce handling got set up once during onboarding and never touched again.
- Four business units, and nobody can say who has permission to export what.
- Sending volume tripled. Data hygiene did not move.
None of it gets reported anywhere, until it shows up as lower open rates, blocked sends, and hours your team spends on work that should run itself.
What the audit covers
Advanced covers all seven areas. Basic covers data, an automation overview, and a deliverability check.
Data
Data extensions, contact model, keys, relationships. What feeds what. Duplicates, stale fields, orphan records. Segments and consent traceability.
Integrations
Marketing Cloud Connect and native connectors. API, SFTP, middleware, ad platforms, analytics. Mapping, direction, frequency. What happens when a sync fails at 3 AM.
Automation and journeys
Inventory of what runs and what is orphaned. Schedules, dependencies, failure paths. Entry and exit criteria, re-entry, suppression. Hardcoded values, undocumented flows.
Deliverability
Sender profiles, domain authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), IP warming, dedicated vs shared. Bounce and complaint handling, suppression lists, list hygiene.
Content and personalization
Template architecture, AMPscript and SSJS review, fallbacks, error handling, rendering in Outlook and dark mode, UTM conventions.
Governance, security, cost
Business unit structure, roles, permissions, lock-out risk. Documentation state. License and contact tiers: what you pay for and don’t use.
Measurement
Tracking setup, attribution, dashboards, KPI definitions. Whether campaign results are tied to revenue.

Monthly Support Hours
A booked block of my time, every month, for fixes, builds, and questions.
| Hours per month | Rate | Monthly |
|---|---|---|
| 4 h | EUR 200/h | EUR 800 |

Bigger block, lower hourly rate. Need more than 16 hours a month? Write to me and we’ll set a number.
It covers fixes from the roadmap, new journeys and templates, integration work, deliverability work, reporting, and the “how do we do this in SFMC” questions that block your team.
Terms: minimum 3 months, then rolling. Invoiced monthly in advance. 30 days notice to stop. Unused hours carry over one month, then expire. Response within 1 business day. A short written report every month: what ran, what broke, where the hours went, and what’s next.
All prices net, excluding VAT.
How it works
- Call, 30 minutes. You describe the setup. I tell you which audit fits, or that you don’t need one.
- Access and kickoff.I send a checklist: read-only or sandbox access, any existing documentation, a contact who knows the setup, a technical contact, and CRM access or a walkthrough for the integration map. Interviews take two to three hours in total.
- Analysis.I review the areas included in your package. Questions go to you in one thread, not twenty emails.
- Report and readout.Written first, then we walk through it together on a call.
- Decision.Fix it in-house, take monthly hours with me, or run it as a separate project.
Who does this
I’m Lukasz Czarnecki, a Salesforce Marketing Cloud architect, 20 years in CRM and marketing automation.
- Marketing Cloud architect for Jaguar Land Rover.
- Implemented Salesforce Marketing Cloud for Volkswagen Group Poland and Audi.
- Delivery work for Viessmann and Betsson, among others.
- Before that: global CRM at Procter & Gamble, with campaign teams of several dozen people.
- I lead the work, with a team of Marketing Cloud specialists behind me.
Questions I get asked
- How fast can you start?
- We agree the start date on the call. It depends on access and on my schedule that week.
- What access do you need?
- Read-only is enough for most of the audit. Sandbox access is better. I never need production sending rights to write the report.
- We’re mid-migration or mid-rebuild. Is an audit still useful?
- Yes. Advanced covers the data model and integrations, which is what a migration plan depends on.
- Do you also fix what you find?
- Yes, that’s what monthly hours are for. Your team can also take the roadmap and make the fixes internally.
- We use HubSpot, Adobe, or Braze.
- Not my area. I work on Salesforce Marketing Cloud only. Happy to point you to someone if you need a referral.
- How is it priced?
- Fixed price per audit, net, excluding VAT. Monthly hours are invoiced monthly in advance.

Worst case, you leave with a shortlist of what to check first.
